Here’s what you get:

INTRODUCING ELDEN RED BURGUNDY
2 BOTTLES OF EACH

Domaine Pierre Thibert Bourgogne ‘Les Bouffales’ Rouge 2015
A single vineyard Bourgogne is often a thing of wonder, a reflection of the precise terroir of the village it comes from. And this ‘Bouffales’ shouts Nuit St. Georges. A superbly positioned parcel. Blackcurrant and pepper, supple in its attack, complete through the mid-palate with a finish on fruit. Great structure, a wine that drinks above its appellation.

Domaine De Suremain Rully 1er Cru 'Preaux' 2014
Very pretty Pinot Noir from the charming 2014 vintage. This premier cru Rully from the Cote Chalonnaise throws out a range of complexity from red currant acidity to black cherry suavity. A touch of rusticity in the tannins brings out a freshness and vivacity that makes this wine approachable now, and that will make it magnificent in 4-5 years’ time.

Domaine Borgeot Bourgogne Rouge 2016
Domaine Borgeot Bourgogne Rouge is one wine that is always in our cellar. In fact, it's our 'house red'! This is one of the paradigms of what we call 'everyday drinking Burgundy'. Classic youthful Burgundy Pinot Noir with blackberries and strawberries and that earthiness that keeps you coming back. It is as we claim: you can drink Burgundy every day. This one should be in your cellar too. Pull it out, guilt free and often!

Jean-Jacques Girard Bourgogne Rouge 2014
Jean-Jacques Girard's family has been making wine in the Savigny-les Beaune valley for 500 years, so it's not surprising to find that his regional appellation Bourgogne Rouge drinks like a little Savigny. Blackcurrant freshness, a touch of earth subsoil, a supple, easy structure and bull's-eye line on through the whole from the attack to the finish.

Thierry Richoux Irancy 2015
The village of Irancy, one of the prettiest in all of Burgundy, is also famous for its black cherries. We’re not sure if it is subliminal, but this Irancy from Thierry Richoux always has a deep backdrop of black cherry. Floral and fine, it is a masterful wine from one of the great domains of Burgundy. Remember who told you that!

Chateau de Chamilly Mercurey 'Clos La Perriere' Monopole 2014
‘Exuberant’ is the word that springs to mind. This single-vineyard Mercurey is wholly owned by the Desfontaines, and is situated in the heart of the village. It is bright, juicy and full, with soft, round spicy black fruit. Open and balanced, with depth but not heaviness. A nice initial finish on primary Pinot notes, but it opens in the glass to early hints of secondary Pinot earth, tobacco cinnamon and leather. Bright, smoky and long. A nice glass of wine.
